Summary
Minnesota Consortium of Community Developers (MCDD) plays a critical role in supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs and the organizations that serve them. Our work focused (1) clearly showcasing services for both consortium members and small business audiences, and (2) building a flexible design language that reflects MCCD’s core qualities.

Building a statewide brand that brings clarity and strengthens trust for community developers and small business partners.
MCCD was evolving from a metro-focused coalition to a statewide leader—requiring a clearer value proposition that could resonate with new regions, partners, and potential investors. They needed a unified story that conveyed their community-centered approach, their technical and financial capabilities, and their growing impact across Minnesota’s small business ecosystem. We helped frame that opportunity into a cohesive narrative, brand system and website that inspires trust and positions MCCD for statewide growth.
Design Approach
MPR|APM wanted the campaign to sit within their existing ecosystem, so we drew from the master brand’s palette and typography to creating an iconic visual system that felt instantly “of the family” yet distinctly elevated for the campaign.
Campaign Toolkit
We developed a campaign toolkit that guided gift officers and campaign volunteers on the goals and strategy of the campaign, as well as when and how to deploy each piece of campaign collateral.
Audio Library
We edited a library of short, intimate audio clips designed to bring MPR|APM’s mission to life during on-site studio tours. Each clip aligns with the mission—Inform, Include, Inspire—and reflects a unique aspect of the impact MPR|APM has on our communities. These clips are crafted to evoke emotion, engage imagination, and create a personal connection with MPR|APM’s work. Here are some samples:
Impact & Reach Infographic
The large-scale impact and reach infographics to anchor storytelling during donor tours at the MPR|APM headquarters. These visuals help gift officers and volunteers contextualizing the mission and vision in an immediate, visual way. The donor experience is further reinforced by thematic wayfinding elements throughout the building, creating a cohesive, mission-aligned environment for visitors.

Rooted in a strong sense of place, the image library reflects the campaign’s core themes—Inform, Include, Inspire—with portraits and scenes that feel personal, grounded, and unmistakably Minnesotan.
